Survive the holographic barrage of turrets in the Danger Room in virtual reality. Slow time, dodge lasers, suck bullets and fire them back at enemies!
After deciding to try our hand at forming a VR game development studio in mid-2016, we worked on a few prototypes to no avail as we figured out how to design games for a whole new medium. After a few attempts, we designed a prototype VR shooter that required strategic thinking by forcing players to use enemy bullets as their own ammo and affording them the ability to slow time to plan their next move. And thus Danger Room was conceieved as our first commercial release.Development and Release
Developed in under three months by a pair of developers, Danger Room was finally released in December 2016 on Steam for the HTC Vive. As one of the few VR game developers in Singapore, we got the chance to showcase our game at events and received great feedback and coverage locally. Danger Room continues to be supported post-release. In May 2017, we made major revamps to the gameplay based on player feedback and playtests, resulting in much more satisfying gameplay
- Awesome laser blasters (They're really pretty awesome)
- Flick your wrists. Slow time.
- Charge up your weapons by sucking in enemy bullets and firing back a huge explosive shot
- Compete in local and online leaderboards to be ideal test subject
